Much loved and cared for van in excellent condition. Been a pleasure to own and will be very sad to see it go. I travel between Liverpool and Bedford for work so mostly motorway miles, as the original factory fitted tyres can attest to. They still have approx 5mm left on them!. Also pretty proud of my MPG record on that run. See the photo!
For full transparency. There’s a small paint scuff on the rear driver's side corner, just under the light. Also a barely noticeable dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel, low down. The kind you get from a door being opened into the panel from a neighbouring car in a car park. I’ve tried my best to photograph it but it's tricky to see/notice.
It’s been serviced twice at Liverpool VW Commercial Center whose service is absolutely excellent and I would absolutely recommend using them. It also had the door release cable recall done at the same garage and the DSG selector switch replaced under warranty. A common but fairly insignificant fault.
The bed and storage in the back was a DIY lockdown project to allow my family (3 of us) to get away and enjoy van life! There’s loads of storage that's easily accessible and the Lagun table mount is super convenient. The Dometic fridge will run 24/7 for around 7-9 days depending on the ambient temperature and the leisure battery will charge from 0 - 100% in approx 3 hours.
The rear seat cushions are 75mm Medium density foam and 25mm memory foam with removable covers. We found it very comfortable and the sleeping space is huge! The centre panels for the bed stow away neatly with magnets when not in use. Everything in the rear can be removed easily by removing a few screws if you need the full load space for any reason.
