I am just about to attempt to repair my broken wing mirror but I have found a broken wire which I remember seeing break but cannot find the other part to which it needs to be soldered. It seems to be an earth. .

Had mine taken out by a truck. Folding motor and adjustment motors seems to work fine but obviously wiring for heating element and mounting for mirror has been trashed. Anyone done a DIY fix for this? Imagine VW will just say the whole unit needs replacing.

hi I've hit the wing mirror on my T6 highline today & it's broken the metal bracket. Rest is all in tack including electrics. Can I just order & replace the metal bracket as I've seen them on eBay & how do I do it as can't find much instruction online. Would appreciate help!

The width of a T6.1 is 2.3m with wing mirrors down. But what is the width with wing mirrors retracted? Anyone know? And can the electric wing mirrors be retracted whilst driving to get through a gap?
