Watergarden at Alnwick Castle is good if fountains are your thing.

Can't beat a good chippy. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Went to El Toro Gaucho steakhouse in Falkirk last night. Amazing food, environment and service. Recommend if you're up that way. Had sit down fish and chips at Neptune in Seahouses for tea today. Might go to the Landing at Beadnell tomorrow for lunch as food lovely there too We're back for 5 days at easter staying at River Breamish C&C site so may visit Carlo's then.

we are the same, and we did around the same mileage, little warm up for 2000 miles next month

Daughter in Italy and son left with my sister, allowed for the first camp of the year with the wife. Brecons treated us well. Lunch at Garwnant , followed by walk round Llwynonn Reservoir yesterday afternoon. Camped at Pencellie Castle campsite with Supper in the Royal Oak and then Four Waterfalls Walk today.

Lovely cycle down the manifold way this morning, stopping off a Thors Cave (or one of his Derbyshire relatives). Route flat following the River Manifold (fancy calling a beautiful river after an exhaust pipe ) along a disused railway. Coffee stops either end
