What oil for my diesel 102 panel van?

Hi folks
As the title suggests...
A bit more info, it's the engine that's without the adblue shenanigans.
I've looked in the manual but it's confusing me a little as there seems to be different answers depending on fixed service or flexible service.
Please can any of you clarify for me?

In addition to my above post...
In the manual it says the permitted oil specification is
Vw 507 00 on flexible service
Vw 505 01 on fixed service
I have no idea which service I am, if any.

Fixed services are usually 10k miles or 1 year. The flexible services use the 507 00 spec oil which is the longlife stuff. They can go circa 18k miles and 2 years between oil changes. This will depend on how the van is driven though.
If you know someone with VCDS they can check what service setup you are on, failing that the dealer can tell you.
If in doubt top up with the 507 00 spec longlife oil. It's not too expensive if you buy it from your local TPS.

Thanks for the replies folks, I put the oil in but there's a spanner to the left side of the oil message so I'm assuming that means I need an oil change?
I wish vans were made of wood, life would be easier. (I'm a carpenter, not a mechanic.)
