Probably not a rattle can job but don’t let a body shop loose with abrasives to remove more galvanising than needed to do the job. You may find it works out to be an expensive job as they will need to blend the paint in to the original
Fitted two new 210W Bifacial n type solar panels to my solar panel rails yesterday.
Wired in series to give the best performance for the MPPT charge controller.
These panels were purchased from Voltanic - a good supplier and one to watch out for. 15 year warranty on these panels. Rails are stuck to the pop top roof with 2mm thick polyurethane double sided tape from Stikon. Tape is ridiculously strong and built for outdoor use with the adhesive improving its hold over time. It certainly isn't ever coming off unless cheese wire is used under the rail.
Installation companies should be looking at using this tape instead of polyurethane sealant. I think the tape is stronger and more resistant to aging and cracking.
Old 200w semi flexible panel will be used for other projects.

Springhill Farm in Seahouses is nice, can see Bamburgh castle on a clear day.We're thinking of doing a mini road trip in Northumberland during the school hols. No idea on the route yet but if anyone has some campsite recommendations they'd be much appreciated!

Decided i needed a windscreen cover to keep the heat off and the kids happy. They have been bugging me to. Get eyes since seeing them at Camper Calling for the last 4 years.
Had some van related pressies for my birthday so have popped on an ‘RCA’ sticker on the back (it’s our Instagram page logo thingymabob), and trying to get the radio screen visor to stick. Not sure it’s quite the right size, and it may also need some better double sided tape, but we’ll give it a go!
I think that might have to be on my Xmas list!
Fitted a Victron 300amp Shunt to my setup, twin leisure AGM batteries 95Ah, all working well in 1st instance. Not sure on setting unit to 100% charge, if i need to sync unit knowing batteries are charged to max- still to read up on the finer details- main thing is that its in and working. Anyone with a heads up on this would be appreciated- sometimes the manuls can be a tricky read, a friendly word works wonders.
Had an issue with my Diesel heater indicating battery too low- found a loose +ve during the fit so hopefully this will be fixed now.

I can recommend some very good tape. Stikon polyurethane double sided mounting tape. Stikon are a very good supplier.
Ah cool, thanks, I’ll have a look. I’ve used a little bit of Velcro for now so will see how that goes and grab some of that tape if I need it (most likely will!)
