Stuck a new starter motor on, old one was starting to feel like it was struggling.

Painted my front brake calipers gloss black after fitting the larger 340mm t32 setup.
The results were really good from a spray can on a driveway.
Woukd recommend this folitec 2K spray paint now over the paint brush version. A little more expensive but a much nicer finish.

Did you compare the new and old with a multimeter while off the van? Wondering if it was failing electrically or mechanically?
Do you use Stop / Start?
What is the mileage?
Currently running a 220K mile Audi on the original starter motor, no issues, looks like the standard of VAG sub-components is dropping off the cliff.

Currently running a 220K mile Audi on the original starter motor, no issues, looks like the standard of VAG sub-components is dropping off the cliff.

Mechanically it felt fine I think it was more electrical. I was getting very bad flickering lights during start up and it has now gone, like it was having to work very hard to crank.
I don’t use start stop and the van is on 152,000 miles.

Got a towbar fitted. With 13 pin wiring.
