What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

not today but... yesterday I finally got my van back after 1 month(!) in garage (yep, loooong time due to missing parts, mechanic illness, etc). Long story short - my turbo was dead (after 109k... biturbo ) and I went regen (nice guys prepared bigger hybrid turbo) + ecu chip. I also fixed some other stuff (once engine has to be taken out to replace turbo in cexc - thanks volkswagen!) like cleaning cat and dpf, replaced egr pipe (small visible leak). I was yesterday on small trip (300km) and... totally different animal! After remap I have now 270hp and 500nm which makes this car totally insane hope it will last long...

Yet another ABS sensor failure but with my VCDS diagnosis it only cost £10 to replace the old gunged up one so happy

Fitted the YHQ barn door eye level brake lights i bought a couple of weeks ago .
Nice and bright but sitting a little 'proud for my liking .

Annoyed at the rear cushion falling out or moving backwards and in classic 2 use fashion, I've fixed the problem by inserting an extendable tarp pole in the back.

Are you not concerned that you might end up wearing that pole if you have a front end collision?

Nah , the cushions will hit first and soften the impact of the pole......followed by all the rest of the camping crap we all carry round .

No. It will, and has, hit the cushion first. Had to emergency stop yesterday and it was OK.

Ye, first impressions very good, only time will tell, was going for the wildpeaks but my brother in laws garage is a Davanti dealer and did me a very good price!
