What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I'd forgotten the lawn mower, we still take our 22" Honda from Spring onwards, it's a four stroke so no mucking about with two stroke pre mix but it does make the camper smell of petrol and the wife can't light her pipe unless the slider's open... probably why she likes camping in Winter.

Just fitting some “Matthew Navis” sliding window seals, I’ll report back how good they are “on my T5.1”

Heads up, he sells them via eBay £58.94 each side, but I bought them direct online from him, message him saying you have leaky windows, he will send you a 10% discount code, I ended up paying £81.17 for both sides, via PayPal.

So a saving of £36.71 to spend on another fault elsewhere on the van ✌️😎

Very interested to hear how these go, @MarkS25 has enquired about these in an earlier post. Let us know how you get on.

Products of the day, Polytrol and Fabsil.
My side steps (not to be stepped on) were looking tired, Polytrol has revived them! It also worked well on my faded windscreen wiper arms, new looking again.
Treated the poptop canvas to a Fabsil session, good for another 12 months.

Like those steps, which ones are they?
There are no makers details on them at all, but I wouldn't recommend them if you want to actually step on them.
I kept them on for our elderly Labrador who did need them to get into the van.
Had a good look under them today to find a makers name, but sadly none.
Quality is good though, no signs of rust or decay, brackets are all good and the bolts arent seized, they can stay on for now.

I fitted mine a couple of days ago! Bit frustrated as one side has worked beautifully (tested by a huge dousing followed by blowing the water away with a car dryer/blower thing), but the other side wasn’t quite as successful…..reason being, I think, is due to the corrosion that had formed in the rubber seal channel on that slider. Still far better than it was, but will deal with/repair it accordingly.

I purchased directly from his website and used the code Matt10 for 10% off. Total was £77 including delivery & arrived in about 5 days (sent from Germany).

Overall a really good fix, but check the frame is in good condition first.

*edit to add the direct link for his website: Sliding window seal

I promise you, you haven't really seen reckless, lawless driving until you've experienced Bradford - it's like Islamabad, but with 500+ BHP Audis/Mercs instead of scooters/mopeds.
A bit xenophobic for a squeaky clean Forum Moderator don’t you think?

😅 I haven't been there in a while (thankfully) but a 2025 survey had it as the most dangerous city in Europe (p.s. Coventry was 3rd, Birmingham 4th).... Not surprising if reckless/lawless driving is common there.... 🤷🏼
