What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

@sgh: It's just bonded onto the panel?
I was looking into them but a bit unsure how it will look In combination with the kombi factory windows.
Do you have more pictures from the side?
..did this on my Kombi, had the conversion done Aug24, opted for the rear 1/4 NS window open/clear to accommodate the RIB bed/seat & OS rear 1/4 just glass onto the panel as the kitchen/storage/electrics are that side.

Got the van back after nearly 2 weeks away from the clutch rattle.
1 x LUK clutch kit including new dual mass flywheel
1 x gearbox rebuild whilst it was all out.
Didn’t realise just how noisy the gearbox was before the rebuild, no more whine at 60/70.

Fitted the transporterHQ armrest this
evening.
New black front badge.

Still to fit:
black grille trims.
Black rear badge
New electric window switch,
USB plug in the dash blank.
new USB to fit in the rear for the passengers, battery cover for a T5.1 which needs a little trim to fit properly.
Undertray

I've been there and done this too mate , whine in 5th, which turned to 4th and eventually cost me a rebuild and clutch/dmf .
Are you planning on painting the back of the new badges ? All black looked a bit lost when I fitted ours ..... so I took them off again and painted them 🤦‍♂️

Not sure about the painting.

First time seeing it in daylight and it’s not as bad as I thought.

Added new Mudflaps which I’ve mean meaning to do for ages. Took the chance while wheel(s) were off investigating brake wear indicator intermittent warning light

Got them from aliexpress. Didn’t want plastic ones and didn’t want to drill bumpers
Do you have a link? There's dozens of sets on aliexpress, but none that I can see that look like the ones on your van.

EDIT: Was it these?

I fitted some reading lights in the back, Nebo 150lm from Screwfix, I had one as a head torch, lovely little thing - and it remembers the light setting you had it on.

So, last thing at night, pop it on the green setting and if you need to be out in the middle of the night to visit the nearest hedgerow (as blokes of a certain age inevitably do), you can use the softest of lights to navigate your way without waking the van.

The only drawback I can see, the USB charging lead will have to be longer than the norm.

Sorry @Bav only just spotted your question as on my hols. Yes it was those, I can’t drag up a link at the moment though
Did these need any trimming or adjustment to fit, or did they just fit as delivered?

Fitted Veedub transporter seat covers. And I am 50/50 on sending them back. The rear bench fits pretty well. But the drivers side front seat doesn’t do up with the zip on the back like all the others, it just uses elastic and I cannot get it to fit tight.

New boots all round - ouch!!

All season Conti's, 235/55 r17 on the van's original Devonports.
The previous set, the originals tyres from birth, managed just shy of 40,000miles - lets see how the new ones perform.

My Boots on my Sportline wore out at 10k miles.
£185 each!
