What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Mirror in a spray bottle lol. Simoniz quick detailing spray. I've used far more expensive products in the past but this is dead easy to apply, relatively cheap and the results speak for themselves. I keep a bottle in both my cars and the van. Fantastic stuff. Removes water spots after washing too.
If it's this one, it seems remarkably cheap for such good results - how long does it last please (the shine that is, not the bottle)?

That's the one. The shine stays until the next wash. Rain beads off it and dead bugs and bird poop comes off easily. I tend to give it a fresh coat after each wash to remove water spots and streaks. Takes 30 mins to do the whole van including glass and plastic surfaces. Use rain x glass cleaner on windscreen.

I reckon you owe me at least a part of £9.78! Gotta be worth a try for that price!
2 bottles on order...

I order other day autoglym and other staff for cleaning and etc after reading on forum what to use £100 goes easy….

Had a mare ! Had wiring fault so faffed with wiring....found nothing but fault sorted itself :waving:.....went shopping, returned from shopping and wiring fault reappeared. 😖
Ignored wiring fault and washed van , found bird crap trying to eat into paint so rectified with lots of polishing and elbow grease etc.
Wind caught van door and dinged our motorhome parked next to it 🤬
Threw toys out and declared it 'jack Daniels time' early ....
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day . 🤞

Also had a mare. Decided to wire the 12v fag lighter sockets that I fitted in the C pillars. Was getting 11.3v without a fuse in and was very confused. Had the fuse box in bits multiple times looking for a short. Couldn't find it. Broke the wire between the positive bus bar and the led board. Looked up the forum and saw that the low voltage is normal.
Figured it should still work as a fuse box without the leds so reassembled and was about to reconnect the leasure battery when the lead's crimp connector came off in my hand. Looks like the scrote that fitted my leisure battery and diesel heater didn't crimp it properly (among several other bodges. I might start a new thread about him as his work was pretty shoddy all round.) Couldn't get a replacement on the bank Holiday so had to call it a day until I can take the lead to someone with a proper crimp tool.

Nothing too special but solves an issue in the gas locker. The 907 gas bottle has been fitted with a Mopeka Gas Level sensor which sits below the base rim of the bottle.

Using a base for the bottle, priced at about £10:00, making the oak insert it lifts the bottle, makes room for the Mopeka and also makes sure the Mopeka stays magnetised in the centre of the bottle.

Managed to get the Mopeka water sensor working! That was fun! I cheat with the 907 bottle and take it out full every time we go away, saves stress!

I had my van for a week and sodding tight NHS car parks introduced side of van to a bollard. Never been so frustrated. Luckily good paint/ repair place managed to fix and paint pane to a decent enough standard for a few hundred, rather than £££££££££££ I learnt a lesson that day. And have considered side bars since. Are they straightforward to fit? I already have mudguards

Yes. You might need to trim the plastic undertray. The tricky part is not dropping the Tbolts inside a hole in the sill. If you are lucky, they come with clips to keep the bolts on the bracket.

If you are unlucky you will lose one forever to the inside. To avoid this, you can very loosely attach them to the bracket and still wiggle it into the hole.
