Yep - Towing receiver hitch - very common over here.
Regarding the Self containment requirements, with the number of people freedom camping and leaving behind a mess (sh*tting, rubbish etc.) the local councils are wanting better control, so the Government has come up with new self containment regulations. However, the new rules are a bit of a farce, and the local councils are also grappling with how to impose them etc. so its a bit of a moving target at the moment. The original requirement was for everyone to meet the new rules by June 2025, but this has now been pushed out to June 2026, but that change came after I had already pretty much done all the things required for the new "green sticker".
I will get some photos of our trip - Central Otago in Autumn is AMAZING !

Did the second reversing light when I got back from Buxton.
Big difference to the standard bulbs.
If anyone is thinking they need a reversing light bar, try swapping these first.

You can definitely use these without any warning lights and they are a straight swap with no extra wiring.

Cleaned up the spare wheel and locking nut, replaced following a generous coat of acf-50
Swore at it!..................................................probably the 4th wheel-sensor joby with a usual flush of various yellow warning. PITA Just booking it in for downhill assist so will need it attending too also the dry weather will come to an end sometime and last time it affected AWD system. 
Was today in garden centre to pick up some stones for project and see they got a weight ramp there and asked if I can weight my van and they say yeee £5 for it lool I did straight away to see how far I can push with conversion.
BTW it was Milton garden in Stoke and I assume any coal merchant most likely got weightbridge much cheaper then pay £20 to Stoke city for they service

Well my vehicle is a 4Motion Caravelle with differential lock. I live completely off road and use 2 tracks one up one down just less than a mile from any road a bit like green lane one way grass wet slippery the other so need to rely on the AWD facilities. The modern vehicle has extremely poor deceleration using the engine like most off road vehicles used to have. Down Hill Assist on pressing the button uses wheel sensors Using the ABS to measure speed and so gently applies the brakes to each wheel to a measured slow speed. It is far more subtle usually than ones foot so so less likely to brake away suddenly on wet grass or hard steep declines on infirm surfaces.
