I'm surprised you are not doing Holland to Hull. Piece of piss then for your journey to your house. I'm considering the Hull trip for end of September.
Tbh hadn’t looked at Hull this time. Last year it was prohibitively expensive - about £400 if I remember correctly. Harwich this Oct is £130ish. Not booked it yet so I’ll have a look though. God call.
We use both ferry routes. Hull is closer for us going out , return to Harwich as we visit family on way home. The Stenna line ships are newer/(better) and on the overnight crossing docks about 4am so most of the freight traffic is gone before you get off about 0630.
I usually sail from Portsmouth to Caen (and return) as I prefer driving down that side of France for one reason. I have never even looked at Harwich which I assumed was a long trip home. it is in fact virtually the same, time and distance wise, as I do from Portsmouth. Might have to take a look in future if I drive up that side of the country.
We are out through France then back through Germany so it’s closer to go straight to Hook of Holland than over to Calais and we can go to Utrecht on the way home too.

Didn’t buy today, but just got delivered and tested for first time today. A pair of 10’8” Paddle Boards. Loved every minute and managed to stand up without falling in. Great afternoon.
Well with one for each foot you should be able to stand up on them.
