What Have You Bought Today?

I'm presuming as it's Fathers Day on Sunday, a little box has appeared on our doorstep:

You can get a cushion to match your seats for the top of it

Randomly checked the Bluetti site last week and noticed a flash sale and had a small whoops as they were selling off the EB55 power packs at £200 instead of £430

I already have a slightly smaller one for Working From Van so did I really need one, nope, but at that price for a decent capacity...

Well this didn't go so well.

It was looking very good as the unit was so basic it didn't have Bluetooth and an app, but the upside was it had amazingly low self discharge even with the DC outputs active.

However after 2 charges (one AC, one solar) both charge inputs are dead. Bluetti have offered to pickup and refund, but they can't replace as, apparently, all stock now sold off...

A shame as with it not wasting any internal space on mains input (external power brick) and the low discharge I was considering using it semi permanently in the van or shed.

Not sure what to try next, look out for a nice 500wh ish EcoFlow like the River Max, grab a cheap EcoWorthy and make a @Dellmassive DIY battery box or look again at a full leisure install.

Do you have the room underseat for a decent seatbase leisure battery? I'm not sure what 'gubbins' the Caravelle comes with under there! A suitcase style solar array worked well for me while I was between solar panels. Fit and forget but always available...

I'm aware it's 'muck' ...but with some onions, salad and chilli sauce it's really not bad at all .
The frozen chicken kebab meat from Mercadano is much better I must admit .
