Well.... Decided today two years later almost... To use this stuff... Thankfully wall and coping stones came up a treat. Even trialled on bit of fence. Used approx 2:1 ratio and used a back pack sprayer to put on. Won't be using on cars/vans! 😄

shame you wasn't closer, you could have tested it on my neighbours cars 😁

Not directly T6 orientated but it will take some of the carrying away from it, reducing damage and it might be need on those occasions when the Caravelle becomes stuck or immobile.

Not bought but Mrs is having a preliminary viewing of a A Hill Tractor to check out its suitability for our purposes. We have very steep ground. So this one like many of its ilk are wide and have low C of G carry implements front and rear with PTO front and rear also. Our present Hill or Alpine Tractor is languishing needing some TLC with a few ailments. If we where to go ahead with the vehicle it would be a big power and weight increase. With front rear and crab steering but might be a little too big to get into some of part of our woodland. We have have a lot of dead trees due to Ash Die Back Disease. So it will need to be multi talented and have brilliant side slope ability for traversing, might possibly need additional wheels to give more resistance to tipping when cutting side slop bracken and grass. Most of the tractors I have seen on line that are useful to us are over in the EU, so might be a little more faff and expense. Will also need to get out and about more with it and not just be home bound, so trips to quarries ect reducing reliance. It is a specialised market and their a few novel designs. The UK, Wales in particular are very conservative, small c, so many of the farms and smallholdings have tractors that are too big and vulnerable working very steep ground but farmers generally do not like to change. I think that their is an element of Men and there toys bigger is better. Though much of the real work is being taken over by contractors so even bigger for fast work.

First vehicle I ever drove was a Fordson Super Major! The joys of growing up in the Worcestershire sticks!
For potentially only me, please post a picture!

If I buy a new to us tractor I will have ago at posting not sent images before our daughter usually does all that sort of thing without a thought while doing other things at the same time. I think the Mrs might post pictures to relatives occasionally I rarely even use a mobile at all and texting is very slow even if I can find the correct place on the phone mine is not a smart phone.:)

Drive Wayne, are you farming or otherwise involved with farming?

Not any more, but my first experience of proper work was school holidays and weekends on a pig and poultry small holding, considered fun as a lad but we did work hard for less than minimum wage!

Great, perhaps you occasionally have a look around a farm show every now and then? Not farming my self but have bought land over time. Used our tractor a lot for a number of years we have an AGT 835 Articulating Tractor but it is kaput at present and been like that for a little while wedged up out of the way. So at some time will need to drag it somewhere to do something with it or have some one else look at it. Its older indirect injection so does not like starting without heating it up as the coil set up is unreliable, have fixed it a number of times. Is all rustred up now as well. Brilliant on side slopes and very low ground pressure but very agricultural and does not have a cab which makes things harsh even when working. We had a period away for a while due to wife’s NHS career and things get out of hand land wise and work that I have previously done now undone. So it was case of spending £££ on a depreciating asset that is past its best and I need a stronger work horse that has a Cab, preferably with air-con but just a cab would be an improvement too old to be out in the wet cold and windy.

So we decided to have a look about for a "Hill Tractor" / "Alpine Tractor" its a generic term that sometimes finds what one is looking for or Alpine ether word misses out something. Mostly these tractors have equal size wheel all 4 corners. The general choice for those is something either with the seating arrangement fixed with very similar rated front and rear lift and PTO plural or a tractor that has a rotating seat and the tractor can be driven with its rear attachment backwards with its seat and pedals rotated.

Our AGT does not have a rotating seat and prolonged side slope mowing and trashing especially if going backwards very uncomfortable after a day in the saddle and freezing too. As said agricultural with no synchromesh on gears and hit and miss familiarity with gear shifting . It only has 35bhp but loads of torque and for its size good lift enough to lift front wheels of the ground but boy is it useful on rough slopes never tips just slides on very severe side slopes unbelievable really. When it snow it just rides on top of the snow due to its very low pressure equal size wheels and tyres when I say low, I usually run it so low it does not read on any of the tyre gages that we have and it drives over the top of most very bogie ground sort of thing where wellies start to get stuck in a get ever deeper in

Just heard that she has seen it and it is tidy for a farm vehicle, seat and cab no rips or tares and they demonstrated some of the controls front and rear lift PTO front and rear some of its steering attributes that is front steer, rear steer and front one way, rear the other way for very tight steering, could not demonstrate crab steering not sure why was suggested might need to be moving but can look at that if we go both go back for a second look Oh yes and it is mid engine which alongside the driver. All controls via electric switchgear which would be a luxury. Tyres grassland, might need a change or second set of agricultural low pressure jobs see how they go. If I was mowing on such a vehicle the mower would best be attached at the front so driving afresh into the grass or trash, could go on rear but no point. I might need a bigger flail mower this thing would easily take it. Doubt it would impress any here or perhaps most farmers but it impresses me. Still a lot of money for no financial return but sound as though it might do the job. Could this be the one or is it another sort of hill tractor or import. Knowing me I will be deliberating over what and if in my sleep . Already considering kit, like two huge transport boxes then no immediate need for a trailer. Probably take a tun or more each.

Do they not allow dogs then?
They do but in winter only certain boats are sailing and ones with pet cabins for sale are like gold dust ....so pet lounge is next best .
Other options are leaving them in your vehicle during the crossing or putting them in kennels on deck ....neither of which would our 'little princess' deal with .

Well I would not like to be put in a Kennel either!
