Table rail & leg kit has arrived. Has no screws so not sure I agree it’s a “kit”. Ah well that’s what happens when you get an EBay cheap purchase

No reason why it shouldn't hold. Have seen plenty of others with that arrangement.
Looking at your sketch, is the table length going to be length ways down the van or across? Do a test with a similar size scrap/spare piece to check the best place for clips/legs before you commit to holes in your table?
