The ferry is quite a bit cheaper then le shuttle. I go over to france a couple of times a year fishing, but always opt for le shuttle for speed.

Thanks Jack , we've only ever done it via le shuttle before (cuz it's quick and easy especially with the dog) this time we've booked the ferry (portsmouth/santander) so will see what it's like .
Saves driving to folkestone and then all the way through france just to get to spain but at just over a grand it ain't cheap.

The tunnel gives you 1 hour leeway and if you're later than this you have to buy a new ticket, the ferry as 4 hours leeway and £60 if late.
Also gone with P&O with dog lounge also payed extra for flexible ticket.

10L of Adblue from B&Q for £10. Some Wynn’s anti-crystal additive from Amazon to put in at the same time as the adblue. And a 500ml top up bottle of Lanoguard to put another coat on underneath before the salt starts getting spread on the roads.

A wise move. Next year try the Buzzweld stuff. Much less expensive, and having used both I believe its a better product.

So... I've sat with all the gear in shed for over a year or 2. Do you need to be careful where spraying etc? Or is it acceptable just to spray underneath / wheel arches etc? Afraid I may be late as weather Def changed here.... One of my Lazer light bracket fixings has corroded so need to fix / repair that also.

The Buzeweld stuff is benign, doesnt harm rubber or plastics. However, best not to get too much on thjngs like bushes where grit might stick and mechanical action will turn it into an abrasive. I expect Lanoguard is much the same.

I got the front wheels up on the ramps and did the undersides, subframe and lower engjne bay and arches. Dead easy.
