I’m looking to buy a T6 or a T5 with the following criteria

ULEZ compliant
2 sliding doors
Under £22k
DSG gearbox
4WD

Which one should I go for ?

Would it be cheaper to buy a panel van and have it converted into a crew van ?

should I avoid Bi Turbo diesels ?

I didn’t think any T5 is ULEZ compliant I had early T6 and that wasn’t
Twin sliders,DSG and 4motion is a costly spec so unless it’s a high milage vehicle 22k maybe a bit tight

I think there was a brief period when Frankenstein vans were coming out of the factory. There were some non ad-blue t6s & some eu6 t5.1s. One or two have popped up on here.

You will need to be looking at a T6 to be ulez compliant.

looking for a twin slider is like rocking horse poop.

Especially at DSG 4motion variant.

It will definitely be cheaper to find a panel van twin slider and then add some windows and the rubber seats in the back for sure.

..

I would start by searching for a T6 twin slider combat and see how you go.... BSG is very possible, 4motion might be a luxury.

Has mentioned above there are some t5 point one Frankenstein vans that were around at the end of the factory run.

And again some early T6 Frankenstein vans that had the older engine in.... Around the 2015/16 Year Mark.

Yes Chipple1 is correct. When I was looking in 2015/16 only the lower powered engines were Euro6. However all Caravels (and VW approved vans for campervan conversion), being classed as cars had to be E6 in 2015 by law, a year earlier than straight vans. VW were trying to unloading their stock of (higher powered) Eu5 engines on the van market in 2015/16 while they still could.
