Vw t5 Speedo clocks swap

I’m purchasing a 07 t5. The speedo clocks missing a temp gauge. Obviously a very basic model. Is it as simple as swapping the clocks out to a set with the temp gauge ? Is it plug and play for it to work ? Don’t think I can look at them clocks looks a little bland.

Your clocks are coded to the ECU mate. The clocks are part of the immobiliser so matched to your key. New clocks have to be programmed to match your ECU and key. You could look at the digital clocks that Antony Charnley is offering. Not sure on cost, there is plenty of information on here about them.

I’ve bought a set of clocks with a temp gauge. Is there anyone northeast ish who could code them in ? Any help appreciated
