So collected and still really happy with it, but I have got something to think about already.
Basically, went out for the test drive on Thursday and the low tyre pressure light came on. And I didn't give it much thought.
My cousin did mention it comes on but he resets it showing me the button in the glove compartment.
However I did about 80 miles in it today, sure enough the tyre pressure warning light came on, but more concerningly it was followed by the ABS and ESP warning light. Which was a bit disappointing…. Thinking pound signs
I put air in all tyres, then tried to reset the warning light, but it’s having none of it. It started flashing (suggesting a system fault) then stayed illuminated.
I’ve just gone out to take a few photos and checked the warning lights, ABS and tyre pressure still illuminated but ESP has gone out.
I’ve done a bit of research and hoping it’s a faulty tyre pressure sensor or something. And not something too heavy. ( famous last words)
But I’m realistic the van is 10 years old next year. It’s expected to have some issues along the way.
Apart from that, as I was already aware there is a small rip on the drivers seat otherwise. I think the van is fantastic, I’m looking forward to personalising it a bit, roof bars, the bars on the bottom probably in black, tint wrap the rear windows, and put a bed in the back. With regard to the latter I’ve had some good advice from a person on this forum who ended up getting one made.
So all relatively good, just a bit of the unknown. But it’s not dampened the spirits
Thanks for asking I hope you haven’t lost the will to live after reading this
