VW All in plan .. again

Mine is up in a few months. I’m definitely waiting this time for a deal. I’m not sure about the age though, it’s had 3 year warranty then 2 year all in so I’m wondering if there is a cut off as there is an age limit but not sure if this is to start the cover or age at the end of the cover

Yep.

Although I think I need to check the dates, mine might be ending while I am in the Hebrides.

At least they don't require the van check anymore!

Yeah, mine renews in June so I wanted cover over the summer busy period and went for it without a discount last time when I could have waited a month and got it for a tenner less each month. Then to rub salt in the wound they send a statement each month reminding me. I am committed to waiting this time and getting it with a discount. Finger crossed this won’t backfire!

My current All-in runs to December 2024 - at the point of expiry that will make my van approx 5.5 years old - so still eligible according to the ‘upto 6 years old’ stated on website.


So, does that mean I will only get 6 months of a new All-in or does it mean the full 24 months which will be until my van is 7.5 years old?

Mine was registered in April 2018 so is just over 6 years old, I took out the All-in in September last year when it was 5 years and 5 months old, and my warranty etc ends in September 2025, so the full 2 years, at which point it'll be about 7.5 years old too.

I took mine out 2 days before it was 6 so it will be just shy of 8 when it expires.

My plan expired a few days ago and I have had issues trying to renew as the plan is still 'live' as I never claimed for the MOTs (They shut my local VW dealer down and the next one is a 40 minute drive away so for the sake of a £40 MOT locally vs an afternoon off work it wasn't worth it.)

I've just got off the phone to VW finance to terminate the plan so I can renew and the nice chap has offered to refund me £110 for the two MOTs I never claimed for!

that's interesting. I am in the same boat couldn't use mine as the dealer couldn't fit me in for 6 weeks

happier paying £35 to my local tame garage tbf anyway. Sounds like if I want to renew then I will need to close current policy and sack off un-spent MOT's

I’m guessing that guy has been taken away by the vw suits for re-education

That’s interesting though it would be much better to great if they could guarantee getting the money back and have it done down the road. Much closer and much quicker!
