I have had lots of work done on my 2019 T6 with James at VDS, he is a local independent VW mechanic with a wealth of experience. I wanted to share the positive experience with all Transporter owners and spread the word on his excellent service and knowledge.

He retro fitted air conditioning to my van in winter and it has been a god send in the recent hot months.

He fitted a MFSW (multi function steering wheel) with an the addition of AAC (adaptive cruise control). This has been one of the best upgrades for long motorway drives.

He remapped the engine to increase power and efficiency which makes a noticeable difference.

Just checked out the web and socials.

They have a some good diag kit and some good history of vag motors.

Looks like a good place to take my Bus too.

To have a MFSW fitted and upgrade the CC to ACC?.

I would 100% recommend it, having the ACC makes those long drives so much easier, James should be able to help find the right MFSW for you - mine was from a VW Golf. This job along with the mapping didn't take long.

Did they change out the radar at the front?... I've already got a MFSW from my other van..... What was the rough price on your works?

There was no need to change out the radar/sensor at the front grill, it needs coding to connect to the AAC.

I think for pricing you would have to contact VDS because each vehicle is a different spec and time frame.
