Van centre service request E-mail

I got an E-mail requesting that I book a service. 36800 miles on the van.
I did just that only to have them phone up and ask why I’m coming in.
It needs one at 48000 !
I’m getting the DSG oil and filter changed by a third party first.

That's random.

The first oil change should be about 12,000 miles.

Then the recommended service interval is about 18,000 miles after that, so assuming about 30,000 miles Mark.

Which would that mean the next service will be due at about 48,000 miles.

This is assuming you're going with the 18,000 mile interval Mark,... some people just service every 10,000 Miles or every 12 months.

So what's the service history on the van?

Having had the high pressure fuel pump fail at 28,000 miles, I had to have a major service before they would guarantee it.
I also paid for the All-in service plan, instead of £5k-ish for the ‘just out of warranty’ breakdown.
I reckon I’ll get my engine oil replaced elsewhere and get it serviced at 48000.
