Servicing - VW dealer or local garage?

Mine goes in for its first service on 6th October to local VW Van centre in Stoke on Trent and it’s only Done 3500 miles, they say it needs interim service £240 .

I was informed my first service would be £320.00 rip off. It’s only an oil & filter change more or less. No wonder 5hey got plush premises fancy Coffee machines and snacks to go with.

1st visit should be just oil & filter @ 12k miles (after new engine bed in)

Always seems cheaper to book online. I also managed to buy both my 2 service plans when VW had a sale on.

I will be taking the new van to my local German car specialist, as the nearest vw van centre is 40 miles away
