Just made my first long journey in my 1000mile kombi (Dec 19 reg) got 156 miles; coolant warning light, stop, vw assistance and water leaking from what appears to be beteen radiator and intercooler. Stuck st my destination holiday and shock is vw deLers near cannot repair until at leat 5th August. Any of you regulars know about any leak issues in this area of the engine?

Sorry not yet. Being collected in the morning. Coolant seems to drip from the front face of the larger radiator sitting behind what I assume is a shorter in height oil cooler or other radiator. Could, of course be coming from higher up but coolant definitely sprayed on drivers side of engine. AA did temp top up and got me a further 13 miles to my destination. AA thought maybe stone chip but did not examine closely. If it is I cannot believe vw have designed such an open grill!

You will have VW assist cover - phone them - they will take it to local VW Commercial deal - they will have to sort you with a replacement vehicle and your repair will be given immediate priority
