Underslung water tank pipe running query

Hi folks. I hope someone might be able to advise on how they’ve done this before. I’ve got an underslung CAK tank in front of the spare wheel. I want to put the water filler inlet on the N/S rear quarter. Can anyone advise where to run the filler pipe from the inlet? Should I take the bumper off and look for a route behind the wheel arch in the wall cavity or has anyone done any other route in particular that might save me some time. Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else I couldn’t see anything. Thanks in advance! Iain

Have a search on the Forum under ‘water tank’.
I have a 12mm (1/2”) OD pipe with a check valve that has a hose connection under the rear bumper, this is adequate for a pressurised fill. Either mains water pressure or I have a Whale GP1002 pump with a short hose if I’m filling from a loose can or bucket.
You certainly don’t need to have a gravity feed or a big hole in the side of the van. You will need an auto vent valve on the top of the tank if you use the same method I have.

Thanks DXX!
I will have a look into doing that , I wasn’t too happy to cut a hole in the van side but the filler I have looks nice and I do think it’s practical when you want to fill in a hurry or sling a few bottles in.
Last time we had barn doors and went through the d pillar under the rear lights however I did find it to be a bit of a pain and never that happy with all the swarf falling in cavities not being able to get it out (even with spraying loads of waxoyl down there:)
