TSi Shuttle

Its very good, it is a little firmer in the damping, only very just, but doesn't crash around or wallow about. Corners much better and is not harsh or uncomfortable as well. Its more suited to it for sure.

So picked up these yesterday. Has a genuine set on my T5 and liked them and just fancied trying 20's as I've never had a set. They were for sale locally. Need to get tyres on them, this is with a 275/40 but Im going 265. They should look okay, might paint them all grey colour or silver like the pic below but the bi-colour does suit the silver I think.
Wheel sitting next to some 16in Corrado wheels, lol.

Was away camping abd biking. LWB came in handy, lowered the rear nicely when loaded up.
Got some tyres for the 20's on so popped them on. Feels fine with them.

A few changes since the last update. Bought a set of Banded steels in glittery bronze. Grown to love the colour. Just fitted the intercooler and boost pipes the other day so its booked in for a map in December. Cant wait.

Nice - I bet you can't wait for the map

The intercooler will help loads with a stage 1 - Is that what you are going for?

Yes just stage 1. I wanted to future proof hence the larger intercooler and boost hoses as I know there not necessary but thought it would be good before the remap. I intend on keeping this for a long time so thought it better to fit good equipment. Were coping well with the 150bhp so I dare say low 300's will be more than enough.

Good thinking, stage 1 with a cooler will always give better and more consistent power.

Nice, looking forward to see how you get on with this
Will the clutch need uprating and any info on what these gearboxes will take?

I believe standard clutch and gearbox are fine. Obviously if your loaded up and rag it all the time then yes its going to limit life but it would be like that anyway. For me its more about being able to overtake easily and we are rarely laden up. We also drive a lot of A and B roads so a wider spread of power will help not having to go through the gearbox as much so in theory its may be better on that and also hopefully better on fuel. Its all about better driveability for me.

Now mapped, what a difference. No RR so don't know power but logging everything the intercooler was working well.

Just bought my TSI shuttle DSG a few weeks ago. Lowered by Steve @ CRS 2 weeks ago. Currently waiting for my new wheels from TransporterHQ.
Interested in more details on the engine mods as I too will probably go Revo remap with a probable TVS engineering DSG driveability map too.

Hi, engine is standard, just Wagner intercooler, ITG replacement filter and Forge Boost hoses then a Revo map.

Got the steels redone in silver and slightly larger tyres. Liking it but getting itchy feet so contemplating change. Either 19in wheels i.e. Cantera or Swamper style wheels with a few other little touches. About 3-4000miles on the bus after map and all good.
