T6 SWB camper build

Not fussed about a pop-up roof (but this might change over time)
Hi Pete. Your posts are very informative and helping me to plan my conversion. How do you manage cooking and preparing the G&T's with the low roof, especially on the longer trips? I'm debating whether to go for the roof , which I believe would need to be done at the start of the conversion, but the cost will put a big dent in my budget.

Good question. The simple answer is that we don’t cook much in the van. The most we do is re-heat something, and maybe cook some pasta. This tends to be if we are on a weekend away.

Longer holidays have tended to be somewhere warmer, when we cook outside, or maybe in the awning. We also eat out a fair bit when away.

Once we are pitched up with the passenger seat swivelled around, we just don’t need to stand up, as everything is to hand.

I don’t think we have ever said “if only we had more headroom”.

Pete
