T6 - Joining the front PDC sensor loom to the 8K Park module and dashboard button ?

Hi @Pauly - while i wait for eucarsystems to get back I’ve been looking at what it would take to make my own loom/harness ?
To help - I’ve scanned the forum and can see that people have retrofitted the front PDC sensors etc. and it sounds like you did too - by any chance do you still have any photos, and the installation instructions specifically for the loom / harness ?

That would have been a very good loom for them to produce! Did you manage to get this sorted with the 7E0 971 095?Ditching the 7E0 971 095 loom is certainly an option, sadly a costly one as I’m back to square one and having to buy 2 separate cables.
The other side of the 1J0 973 735 connector seems to be 1J0 973 835 and is available online (sample eBay link )..
I can’t deny, It’s frustrating that VW don’t make that next loom, one to take thefeed from the front sensors (and fogs lights) to the park button, the Park ECU and the light switch etc. It would’ve be a great part for retrofitters ..
I'm about to do the same upgrade and want to piece together as you have but keep hitting brick walls in my component planning
Did you go OEM fogs or aftermarket?

It is a strange that they don’t do retrofit harness to connect onto the 7E0 971 095, but chatting with eucarsystems and explaining my set up they made me a custom loom to connect to the Parking button, light switch dial etc. on my T6.
For the fogs, I have a mix at the moment one aftermarket and one OEM - I’m going to be upgrading the bulbs to LEDs so was not sure how much I needed them to be OEM.
Here’s a photo they took of what they made for me…

Hi all, having picked up a (2018 LWB) T6 at the very end of last year, I’m on a quest to upgrade sections of it over time.
I started with the most important part (the stereo
) but I really want to upgrade the front, now I’m not looking to alter the body work / add a front spoiler etc. as I like what I have; what I’m mainly looking to do is the following.
1) Add fog lights & front sensors - (Vagtec - link) - £400
2) Replace headlights with LED DRL ones - (link) - £500
The reason for the ‘in for a penny’ comment is that I’m going to need to take the front off to install...

@nodecentral Oh wow thats good they made the loom. How much did it cost? ..just pricing up sourcing parts as you have as opposed to purchasing the kit.
I think im leaning to aftermarket fogs as OEM are a bit more pricey and the kit I've found has the same features inc the turning at low speed.

I did think that as well, just picked up a highline bumper and grille so thought parking sensors and spots should be installed as ill already have the bumper off.My front upgrade journey is here..

Those THQ lights are great, im saving up for the audi style ones.. if im spending 500, might as well spend 900!
purely aesthetic as the ones you're looking at are also banging.Similar threads
