@dubber36 @Alster Do you think the threshold could be reproduced at standstill just by covering rear mirror sensor - which then should turn on dipped beam, and again off?
Could try to catch "the thing" with VCDS - as there are still quite a few uncharted channels in T6 BCM

I can try, but I'm not sure how.

Where even is the mirror dimming sensor. Mine is framless with no sign of anything that looks like sensors from the old days.

Rear-view mirror (in High-beam assist) has an ambient light sensor as below - I would expect this to be the sensor which needs to be covered for testing.


Mirror dimming sensor is in the mirror itself in the centre at the top - torch helps to see it - fairly invisible without.
