We stayed here for the first night away in the van with the family and awning extra, probably 5 years ago now. It had an old military Nissan type tent for the facilities which was a bit weird but was actually ok. Good pub down the road and good walks to other pubs!View attachment 289860
Ah I’ve browsed that place a few times, I’m not a member of the club so never stayed there! I should really consider joining one of the clubs.

We stayed at Glebe Leisure near Bicester a few years ago. Seem to remember it was fine.

New Forest, C&MC campsite at Brockenhurst (Black Knowl). If you don't want all that luxury and expense, there's a private camping area called Aldridge Hill (I won't call it a site!) immediately adjacent to it but you'll need off grid capability, a portaloo and lots of spray deodorant. Great area for Dub dogs.

Also the C&MC campsite in Broadway in the Cotswolds.

This is another option. Now actually stayed there as it’s a bit close to me but nice walks and pub

Chipping Norton campsite, it is close to the A361, we were ok on our pitch and useful to get at the front of the queue at Diddly Squat Farm !! some great bike rides and bus stop outside site, very clean campsite
