Not sure if this is the right place to post. @Bav?

Anyway, I notice there are quite a few mountain bikers on here, obviously spread across the nation.
From June onwards I intend to do some 2 or 3 day trips in the van, probably with SWMBO, staying on a decent, secure sites (for the bikes) purely to go mountain biking.
So I thought it might be an idea to have a thread where people can post up any van mtb trips they are doing where they may want to have others jump on board and make it a forum mtb meetup.
Not sure how it will work using this thread, as maybe posts will get lost in the comments, who knows.
But if people think this is a good idea then let me know on this post and we can maybe post up on here where we are going and when etc and see if it works.
For example, I'm away tonight up to Scotland to ride Comrie Croft tomorrow then Tarland C&CC site riding in that area until Wednesday then riding Ae forest on the way home with a group that I normally ride with.
This got me thinking that we could do something similar on the Forum going forwards.

I intend to have a couple of nights at Reeth riding Swaledale area late June. It would be good if a few vans turned up, even if its just for beer and bbq in the evening - we don't have to do the same rides. I'll be bringing the wife who likes the easier stuff these days.
And of course it won't just be my trips.
My idea is that anyone who is thinking of a few days riding and fancies some like minded T6 company then just post it up and see if anyone fancies making it a social event.

A great idea.

Enjoy yourselves boys. I used to coach MTBing un the dibble (as well as advanced road, SAR, defensive tactics and maintenance skills) but a few bad-ish offs have made me realised I don't bounce any more.

So I expect to read much chatter and see lots of pics to let me know what this old git is missing.

I'd be up for some bike orientated meet-ups in the Norf of Engerland......I'm more into road biking, but with my dodgy knee, I'm now limited to my e-mtb. I won't be hitting some of those technical trails, but happy to Potter about looking for traces of Roman roads and rendezvous for beers and burgers

Aye SMC, I do mainly road riding on my Felt and light trails on my Ribble gravel thing. I use the ebike for local pottering, the sort of local single digit miles folk tend to use a car for. Perhaps a road or light trail weekend some time?

I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread. My local rides are Exmoor and Quantocks but I do 2/3 nighters usually around Afan, Cwmcarn, Coed y brenin and other parts of Wales. Wife and I are both on e mtb’s

Like my mountain biking but not got a T6 yet but will be up for meetings. I am only half hour away from Llandegla bike trails.👍

Sounds perfect. Not done Coed y Brenin for a few years.

Sounds good. My wife would ride that stuff all day. And I do what she tells me lol.
