My DAB hasn't worked since i've had my van.. looking to replace the aerial at some point to the wing mirror.. what is the connection at the back of the standard unit? which one? I can't put a windscreen aerial on as i've got a heated windscreen.

Just came across this thread looking for an alternative DAB antenna - Saw the chap linked the one from retrofits @ £30 inc. shipping that he recommended.
Heads up you can get it on AliExpress for £8. Works really well, big improvement to the DAB reception on my T6.

Hi all I’ve literally just done a similar thing, got my mirror bashed off and brought a mirror without the dab antenna by mistake. So I started dismantling the old mirror to add the antenna to my new mirror but realised I’d bitten off much more than I could chew. All the new mirror has got is the plug, I’ve got a t6 high line so it’s electric heated, heated mirrors, is this mirror antenna all I need to get my dab radio back as I don’t want the agro of sending it back and paying £350 for the correct mirror when this one only cost me £150…… many thanks

I'm trying my best to not post any new questions to ones that have already been answered but I have read through a lot of posts on the OEM DAB aerial and can't find anything to my specific question.
The DAB is very poor in my T6. It's a standard set-up with head unit shown in picture
I've got a pop-top and not seen any conclusive solutions to installing a shark fin or external DAB aerial.
I came across this windscreen DAB:
and thought for the price it's worth a punt to see it if improves DAB as I don't need to go down the route of changing the head unit or routing cables through the length of the van.

My question, would this Fakra connector fit straight into the OEM head unit socket as a replacement for the wing mirror aerial? My plan is to simply disconnect the OEM aerial and re-connect with this new aerial. Will it fit or do I need additional male/female adaptors?
