Radio Antenna Repair (Drivers side mirror aerial)

Hey all,
Sadly had my drivers side wing mirror on my T6 totally obliterated the other day.

I’ve just received a replacement aftermarket mirror from flea bay and am getting ready to install.

Unfortunately though the impact was enough that it totally ripped the aerial wires.
I’m going to try my hand at soldering them back together before I cave and buy a replacement antenna.

But I was wondering if anyone knew which coloured connector connects to which side of the aerial?

Looking at the aerial itself, there seems to be a longer aerial and a shorter one.
Connecting to either a black connector that grounds on the metal mount of the wing mirror, or a beige connector that grounded on the door panel.

Taken from a recent thread about poor DAB reception on the head units, and an attempt to help out a fellow member . . . . . . i though id post this here.



All the antennas for the T6 are located in the side wing mirrors.

The left contains:
Aerial connection, Telephone aerial, Radio aerial, inside - passenger side exterior mirror

The right contains.
Aerial connection, GPS aerial, Radio aerial 2, Digital radio aerial, inside - Driver side exterior mirror
