Im not sure I have contacted local van centre to find out. Did the recall fix your problem
Same here, Sunday morning the drivers one wouldn't open, had the "recall" done last year.
A recall with exactly the same part !?

I took mine to the dealership last week who did the original recall and they had been requested by vw technical to order all the parts to replace door handles, locks, lock barrels and cables. Lock barrels will take 2 weeks from the factory to fit my original keys.
So vw must have a plan!!
Also while I was at the dealership, I had a look at new vans in stock and the door handle with the key is now fitted in the passenger side door and not like my 2021 van which is the driver side.
I am not sure if the left hand drive version has been redesigned or not but I have no evidence to confirm this.

Update ….VW had my van for a week, and finally were able to recreate the issue on the passenger door but not the drivers (cos the 4 separate video’s I supplied weren’t good enough).
This evidence has been supplied to VW and as I quote “ VW have fixed the issue and yours shouldn’t do this” so I’m awaiting what the answer is ..

I had a similar issue this morning, couldn't get in and when I did I then couldn't shut the door. Drove to work holding the door shut.
Got on to Sinclairs in Swansea and the response that I had was "It happens sometimes, nothing we can do about it".
I'll put up with it for now (defrosted and working fine) but if it happens again I'll be visiting them to see what can be done.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you but took my van to a different VW centre and showed them the videos and they replaced all the door handles on both the front doors the sliding door and the boot lock all under warranty. I did say that changing all of these door locks seemed a bit excessive but that's what VW recommend so that's what I had done luckily all covered under warranty as I believe it would have been in excess of 1200 pounds.
So my advice get some videos you've tried to get in your van show it in a frosted up state I included my watch with the date and time etc and submitted to VW..
