T6.1 Cali fridge pops open after lowering

Hi,

Since i've lowered my Cali it seems that the fridge pops open.
It happens more on bad roads.

Anyone suggestions on how the locking mechanism can be 'stiffened'?

By putting nice long and soft springs on your leisure vehicle so that it floats over bumps as it was designed by the people who built it I think will work

If it’s the standard top loading fridge you could attach some weight to the lid, you’d gain the most effect at the furthest point from the hinge.
I’ve no idea how the mechanism looks on a standard Cali’ fridge but if it involves a coil spring you could find a slightly stronger spring.

Had the dealer look at it, a new locking mechanism is ordered. Will be replaced shortly.
Nowadays it even pops open when just closed, being stationary.
