Stance+ T32 Coilovers

Some one may correct me here but the two purple threaded locking rings need to be wound up the thread to compress the spring hence lowering the vehicle height ?

On the front, they would be wound down to the bottom, to lower the vehicle.

On the rear (at least on B14's, don't know Stance specifically), it's the other way round. You wind them up to the top (they sit above the spring) to lower it

EDIT: it's the same on Stance; see here Stance+ coilovers on my18 Multivan

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but for T32's you must purchase the Ultra Kit and not the Street Kit? Assume the Ultras are a bit more "heavy duty" to compensate for the probable additional weight?

Was going to pull the trigger on the Streets but now probably have to stretch to Ultras.

§ 25%-30% Up-rated shock absorber damping.

§ FUCH oil filled dampers for superior ride quality and performance.

§ FUCH damper oil is used for maximum lubricity and consistent damping.

§ Short heavy duty hardened chrome piston rods.

§ Firm yet comfortable ride quality, suitable for fast road or mild track day use.

§ Coilover springs are high tensile, chrome silicon steel, shot peened for strength.

§ Coilover springs are powder coated for weather protection.

Hi.

I have just fitted the ultras to a t6 t32

Did you remove the large rubber washer on the rear above the original spring?

I must say they are very smooth. No crashing. Well impressed

They way the shockabsorbers adjust in height is brilliant idea. It gives them more travel than other units I have seen and they are smooth.
I've only gone down 50mm but I have another 100 to go if I want!

Just the fronts to do now

Hi all,
I had some Stance+ Proline Coilover Suspension T32 Fixed Damping kit fitted by a garage and lowered 50mm however the front suspension ride is awful. Any sort of bump in the road they bottom out and hit the bump stop. It makes a massive bang and feels awful. I dread driving on our roads!!! Its also particularly bad when you corner into a downhill turn and there's any sort of bump. Any ideas on what I can do? The garage have already had it back but its still doing the same.

Obviously they should not be doing that. Most issues with suspension problems come from fitting. Its unlikely faulty shocks but can happen. We fitted a set for a guy. 6 months later says they are knocking. He had work done at another garage and they were 'specialists' saying everything is tested so must be suspenson. We looked at it and one of the links (they had removed and refitted) was loose.

It sounds like the pre load has not been set. Easy to do. This sets how smooth the van rides and stops it bottoming out. You can have it hard or soft depending on your requirements but 15-25 mm preloaded is best.

Jack the van up. Just wind down the spring collars at the bottom of the spring until the spring is loose on the shock. Screw one collar back up until it is sitting so it is not loose and only slightly under pressure. Then using your c spanner wind it a further 15-25mm up. Screw the second collar up to lock the first collar in position. All done.

Mine certainly does not crash? Infact it's better then the standard due to it being not as hard.
