Show us your 20’s

My contribution, had them on for a month or so. Have had 17's, 18's, 19's and now 20's (from 17's). I have to admit I notice little difference so will try these for a while. 9x20 Supermetal Cells with 265/40 tyres.

momo storm 20s et 40, 275/40/20 lowered 30mm( it looks lower because of my ace parking) I get a slight rub on full lock, doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Had this puppy for over 6 years. T6.1 coming soon and my heads blown off again trying to decide on dam wheels

Lovely ... have you done any cutting to get the front down on your air set up ?
Hey @Runwithscissors ,

I removed the arch liners from 10am until 2pm. No robbing at all now. One other thing I did which is drastic but if you are after the lows.

Front wing brackets need trimming, see images for an idea where to cut. Then reseal them with undercoat of your choice.

The wings come off easily, bolted on.

Thanks so much
I said I would just do air ride with no cutting
Will be low enough .. ha right .

Will I notice the difference in wheel size?
I have Sportline 18" wheels on standard 255/45/18 tyres. standard pressures of 36psi rear and 44psi front (or there abouts)

I'm thinking of changing to Supermetal Cell 20" with 255/35/20 tyres.

This gives me the same radius, circumference etc, so the speedo will be the same etc.

The only difference is the depth of the side wall, which will be 1" less on the 20's.

I have STX coil overs on the van and I am very happy with the ride comfort.

Will I notice much of a difference?

@BognorMotors are suggesting 36psi for 20" tyres, so I'd be trying that.

Are there any other considerations when running 20" wheels? Fuel efficiency?

I can also get the Supermetal Cells in 18" with standard tyre size of 255/45, so really not sure if any benefits other than aesthetics for the 20's?

the 18" cells are ET40, so will stick out a little further than standard (which will be a good thing) (I think the sportlines are 8J 50ET?)

the 20's would poke out 18mm more than standard, which again would be a good thing.

so it all comes down to that 1" tyre wall height difference and whether or not it will adversely affect the ride quality?

I would go for the 275/35 or 265/40 dependant on your chassis weight. Although both are bigger than what you are running, they are the go to tyre size for the 20” x 9” and within 5% of the standard wheel circumstance so work perfectly. They will actually look better on the 20” rim too IMHO. You’ll naturally get more sidewall and protection with these tyres. And correct we run and recommend 36psi. And go up from there with a heavier load up to 40psi in our testing works perfectly.
They will be worse on fuel - heavier and more drag and the handling will feel sharper although a bit of ride comfort will be lost.
We have these wheels in stock - if you are local you are more than welcome to test drive one of our demos on STX and 20” wheels.

HTH
