They are susceptible to corrosion but for people of a certain age... alright me, then they're a lovely bit of bling in a time of 50 shades of gloss black.
Yikes! Thanks for the heads up. I was vaguely aware of having read something about this somewhere on the forum, but this changes everything! Back to the drawing board; the last thing I want to do is fork out up to £1500 to replace a perfectly good (quality) set of OEM wheels with premium tyres on which have only covered 7,000 miles so far, only to find I've swapped them out for something inferior that won't last.wheel look awesome but just a word of caution with polished faces and 'wheel worm' they are more susceptible to deterioration.
See here: Search results for query: wheel worm
And they look greatThese are 6 yrs old, two are on their third set of rubber...

Black and still bling, the original 16" Clayton's live in the Garden shed apart from the one serving spare wheel duty.
Mmmm.....Just not a fan of black wheels on a white van. (Me neither!)If SWMBO thinks totally new wheels are too excessive, how about black Claytons?
Thread 'Will these fit?' Will these fit?
Be like me and save a fortune by not changing your wheels each year... it's pretty dreary but saves you buying the wrong wheel because at some stage those Tesco value white plimsolls might be back in fashion and the "wrong wheelDamn it! Everytime I look at the van now I'm going to see Tesco white plimsollsWorse still, I'm going to think every other T6 driver that waves is secretly mocking me
How about the silver Platins?

Springfield are one of my favourite OEM wheel. Clayton looking but that's not bad. There are these Springfields and they're just up the road from me in Preston, but damn, they look remarkably like Claytons don't they? Not sure there would be much point.
Yesterday I was close to pushing the button on the Wolfharts (having convinced/lied to the Finance Department that they were on offer @ £20 a piece, as per forum rules)
Now I'm back to thinking sod it, I'll just wait until the tyres need replacing in a few years - then it will be easier to justify new rims at the same time.
Springfields look nothing like Clayton's in the flesh, that extra 2" makes them look so much sleeker, I like Springfields but would still be worth throwing their spec on "Will they fit.com" to see if they need spacers with that et50 offset, it's not cool to let your wheels hide away at the back of the wheel arches. There are these Springfields and they're just up the road from me in Preston, but damn, they look remarkably like Claytons don't they? I think Travelling Lite show Dortmund's in the polished and black finish?More food for thought! (I knew it was a mistake to put this out there!)
The Platins are ET50 as well.
The Wolfhart Munichs are ET42. I'm looking at the black gloss now wondering.....Or in fact the Dortmund, which was originally my first choice, but Wolfrace have discontinued them in black/polished - still available in gloss black though.
Not really that seems to be the only picture I can find online for some reason
