Those campertec look good with fly screen anyone vouch for them ..??
I reckon unless there's a solid looking through glass fixing like the old hatchback rear side glass hinged openers used to be then there'll be a thread on here asking about glued on catches failing however good looking they are.
True, I managed to get into my Kombi sliding window without breaking anything with my bare hands, needed a second persons skinny hand to open the door though.
I fitted safari windows to my 2024 plate t6.1 less than a year ago. Both windows are corroding. One gas strut has failed. Now both handles have fallen off. I kicked off a bit with camperglass and got a refund for both windows as they are not fit for purpose and extremely poor quality. I will also be sending them the bill once I’ve had the windows removed and replaced.
Could you give some more details about the corrosion? So I can check mine.
The campervan market is awash with certain companies selling bolt on / stick on crap, there are many who feel they need to ‘customise’ their van but end up de-valuing it and often just make it look like many others who had the same idea.
Mostly in the corners on the inside. Both windows. One gas strut has become very tight, stiff to open the window it makes a creaking sound when opening.
Ooh, that's a bit shonky... the creaky gas strut is probably more due to the current heatwave, got my mountain bike out of the shed and the back tyre was at 75psi instead of 50.
Back to safari windows and apart from the corrosion and handles falling off my only problem with them is me being a shorty they're just the right height when open to hit me in the face repeatedly as I tried to climb in... it was this van at Camper jam... not actually mine but I really liked it.
