Safari windows fitted

I reckon unless there's a solid looking through glass fixing like the old hatchback rear side glass hinged openers used to be then there'll be a thread on here asking about glued on catches failing however good looking they are.

One of my handles has come off today (I have two safari windows). I'll be emailing tomorrow to hopefully get some glue, what a faff.

I like the idea of a top hinged window on a camper but crap handle system aside the window edge looks to be exposed enough to get a lever underneath.

Surely any window wouldn’t survive long against a big flat screwdriver under the corner?
True, I managed to get into my Kombi sliding window without breaking anything with my bare hands, needed a second persons skinny hand to open the door though.

I fitted safari windows to my 2024 plate t6.1 less than a year ago. Both windows are corroding. One gas strut has failed. Now both handles have fallen off. I kicked off a bit with camperglass and got a refund for both windows as they are not fit for purpose and extremely poor quality. I will also be sending them the bill once I’ve had the windows removed and replaced.

They’ll keep selling them unless you demand a refund and alternative replacement windows fitted. Posting a tube of glue and saying it’s a one off costs nothing.
That’s exactly what I did demanded a refund. These windows aren’t fit for purpose and are extremely poor quality.

Could you give some more details about the corrosion? So I can check mine.
