Hi, so we made the big decision and sold our old 1997 T4 & new E Class in March and finally found the spec/colour van we had looked for for months :)
T6.1 DSG 150 in Ascot Grey Highline
We wanted the box van so we could do it from scratch ourselves and have it exactly how we wanted it learning from our old T4 what we needed and didn't need
Majority of the work we have done ourselves, the pop top and windows our friend who owns a camper conversion shop helped us do this.
We've to date had done:
BFG fuel tyres/alloys
Storm PopTop
Safari windows both sides and windows all around
Electrics ready for the kitchen etc
Fully carpeted in Silver
Grey Oak flooring

Now ready to order the slimline kitchen and 3seater 130 rib bed

Exciting times :)

Looks great. Just out of curiosity how have you finished the carpet on the sliding door? Have you just gone to the door rubber and cut it or have you edged it with some trim?

Sorry I probably didn't explain properly. The carpet on the actual door around the safari window and door handle. How does that finish at the outer edge of the door? Do you have a pic of the door slightly open so I can see how you've finished the carpet on the door itself?

Oh don't worry :D yes I'll get a picture tomorrow when it's light and post it for you. I think when our friend carpeted it they tucked in under the window if I'm making any sense but I'll get a proper pic tomorrow for you

Not actually around the window itself, but how it is finished around the edge of the door, on the door. Where the slider meets the rubber when it is shut.
I’ll take a pic of mine tomorrow and highlight where I mean. It’s difficult to explain, but thanks for bearing with me.

Right I get you now..sorry been a long day haha, but yes do that and I'll get one showing how my vans been done

@NatMc24 yes that’s it. Thanks a lot. I’ve not carpeted the metal of my sliding door but that looks great.
I think I’ll crack on and get it done like yours.
Cheers.

Stunning kitchen/units all fitted/oak treated and sealed...so happy with this!!!
VanFurniture 130 swb SlimLine kitchen
Bespoke Geaves colour
Solid oak worktops/table and window board

Reason we went for the slimline is because we learnt from our old T4 what we needed and didn't...for us a wider bed would give us more comfort and space (we will be getting the 3 seater 130 rib bed soon) and less cupboard space because really we didn't need it and also we don't cook inside the van because we found it stinks out the van rather have the worktop space, so we will be using the camping stove outside and getting the fitted fridge...possibly might get a single burner hob on the worktop for emergencies but unsure yet

Looks brilliant, might see you driving around locally- I’m the one in the really badly converted (but getting gradually sorted) white T6!!
