Ok I spoke to VWFS recently as my all in pan is due to end later this month.

They said I cant renew until the old one runs out. But then when I take out the new one I wouldn't be covered for the first 30days.

So effectively its impossible to have continuous cover and effect I'm paying for 24 months cover but only getting 23?

Am I missing something? Is this really how it works?

TIA

I done mine via the garage.

They sent it up to renew the following morning after the previous one expired....

The 30day. No claim rule only applies if you have a break in cover, which you won't.

You need to be under 6yrs old and under 100k miles at the start.

Thanks. By garage you mean the dealer?

When on the phone to VWFS they were the ones that told me id I cancelled the policy I had to renew even still on the same phone call that the 30 day rule would apply. I've even questioned it ans she was adamant it would apply.

From what I've read previously on the forum, she's got that wrong. My understanding is as per Lee's.

Perhaps call again and speak to someone else?

I wasnt implying @Dellmassive was wrong, more the incompetance of the woman on the phone working for VWFS.
I will leave it a few days and try again. Might speak to Cleckheaton first and see what they say.

Don't bother with vwfs.

Just do it direct with you local dealer.

Ask them too set it up for the day after your expires.

That's what I done, easy

I had to set-up my all-in plan online - albeit, this was the initial one, not a renewal. VWFS told me to go through the dealer and the dealer didn't even respond to my multiple emails and calls. (Was later informed that there's nothing in it for for the dealer, financially speaking, hence their disinterest.)

My experience of disinterest was from Cleckheaton VWVC btw.

You can do it yourself online via the website.... As @Bav done.

Yeah, I've heard they're decent (probably from you ) and had no complaints when they serviced it.

When I bought my all-in online, I had to wait until midday on the day after the factory warranty had expired.

You have to wait for you existing cover to run out .. then do it online, the following morning.

Same as if you a went to the dealer.
That's what I intend to do with the Tiguan as it turns 5 on 22nd April. I've got a feeling that I left it a week or two after it was 3 years old before taking out the first all in.

Does anyone know if there are any discounts on the all in OR any upcoming sale prices for the plan
