Service interval and service plan question

On the old van I used to get service due after 12m or mileage I think. With the new 24 plate T6.1 it's now over a year old but showing service not due for just under a year / 11k miles. As it's been with the conversion company for a decent chunk of time and only on around 5k miles, that makes sense it wouldn't want one on mileage, but I have a service plan on it and wondered would the service plan only cover 2 services if I do one service per year, regardless of mileage? Also, if it's set to variable service schedule, does it depend on the type of driving? We now only use it mainly for longer trips so not as much local driving. Wonder if that has a bearing on when it thinks it needs one?

Mine was set to long life as well it’s ridiculous and personally I don’t believe in it. If it’s a long term vehicle I would say get oil out annually/10k miles.

Yeah I was erring towards getting it done sooner, but given it spent a decent chunk of first year being converted and the price of service plans / services I thought maybe leaving it another 6m or so and timing so second service is closer to the end of 3 yr warranty in case I want to take out another all in plan. This happens to be around Nov, so a chance of a Black Friday deal :)
