Hi all,
i recently posted about my d2 heater having H1 service fault and fault code relating to faulty motor. Happily, I managed to have a new motor replaced under warranty so happy days! I am trying to refit it now but have come across a small problem. On the heater itself, the diesel inlet is a small bore, 3mm OD stem/nipple. A rubber pipe with 2 clips fits onto this approx 10mm OD, 3mm ID 50mm long. Next, the main diesel pipe fits on but this is approx 6mm OD convoluted pipe and it will not push into the above rubber 3mm ID bore. Have I misplaced something?

Gary.

Have you got a picture? Sounds like the short rubber pipe between the two is missing

So, photos 1 & 2 push on to metal stem on heater, then i have to get photo 3 into bore on photos 1 & 2! Internal bore is 3mm and photo 3 outside diameter is 6mm! What am i missing?

Gary.

All back together now, covers on, off the stands but wait a minute! Do i now need to prime it or will it self prime?

Hi Gary, when I fitted one, a few years back now, I manually primed the pipework
to the solenoid pump.
I had the solenoid pump mounted somewhere near handbrake underneath.
To prime I had to keep "pulsing" power on / off to the pump.
You might get errors on controller along the lines of no fuel or no ignition.
I don't know how long they try before shutting down.
