Rear tailgate clearance height

Would like to have longer rear tailgate struts, I believe standard are 900nm x 710mm ish long. As van is lowered and carriers tools it sits low when opened. A client smashed into corner earlier which isn't good.
Are t5 straight swap or have I to go down Sgs route and get some made ?.

I'm keen on finding out about this too, it's just waiting for someone to crack his head open on those corners!

Not sure how much room there is in the gap between open tailgate and fixed roof, especially when there's a spoiler fitted.

Yes - I have them on my T6 as the retrofit tailgate brackets sit a little lower than OEM.
