Rear adjuster delete with Bilsteins

The rear of my van sits too high compared to the front. I’ve got a set of B14’s fitted but the rear adjusters don’t look like they’ll budge, they’re currently wound about 2/3 of the way down. Before I buy replacement and wind them further down, does anyone have any pictures of B14’s on a kombi with the adjusters removed and Powerflex adjuster deletes fitted?
The back of my van is empty 99% of the time so the Powerflex deletes may be ideal.

When I ran b14s I had the fronts all the way down and removed one of the adjuster rings on the rear. It sat lower at the back than the front so you should be able to do this rather than go for adjuster deletes.

Thanks Gary!
I took the adjusters out on the drive this morning to see how it sat. It was just springs so there might be a slight rise in height if the power flex deletes were in there but it’s too low. This is with nothing in the back of the van either.

If you can get the adjusters free and wind them all the way down it should sit level.

I am also looking to remove the rear adjusters & also possibly get some machined top mounts for the front. When I bought my van it sat almost perfectly on Stance+ coilovers but I had to replace them due to broken springs. Now I can’t get my B14s to go anywhere near that low.

Interested to hear opinions from those who have done this.

I want the wheel arch to sit just above the tyre 5/10mm gap. At the moment I’m all the way down on the front & the back.
Tyres are 275/35/20 (I know I’ll have to go for a narrower tyre on the front if I drop the front any more)
Also all four corners are all slightly different so I’d like to have the gaps all even.

Machined top mounts will give you another 10-15mm.

I was after the same sort of stance as you mention and ended up replacing my b14’s with some Solow lows and machined top mounts. I run the fronts at their highest setting and rears at their lowest with adjusters in place. The ride is also much improved with the solow’s, I think it’s partially as the suspension is well within its intended ride height range whereas I was running the b14s at the limit of what they were designed for.

This is how it sits…

That looks Great! would you recommend the b14? or do i go straight for the solows? i don't plan on going as low as the rear but the front looks bang on!

If I was to do it again I would go straight to the solows and run them on the highest setting from the outset. This gives options to go considerably lower as you begin to get the lowering bug

I am in a predicament here with which kit to select, So-Low Lows at maximum height would be looking at a 95mm drop plus the sag from the weight of the van making them very low really, whereas NSL's at max drop of 95mm plus the weight of the van could potentially leave very little travel left for the shock absorbers?

Im a full camper LWB T32 bu the way on 265/40R20's

Yes thats what i am thinking too, i currently have an empty van and it looks like a monster truck haha. . Thanks for the reply Garyde i will have to see how low i really do want to go but i am unsure at the moment!
either the so lows or b14 komforts to choose from, not sure if i will go as low as you…

If you're unsure, Solow Lows are the way to go because at their highest they are perfect on the front whether its a camper, day van or commercial. There's loads of scope to the get the rear to sit right as at full height it's still too high so you can wind the adjusters down, take the rings off and leave just the adjuster or go spring only. I'm at almost full height front and half way down rear measuring 360 F 355 R and its a camper but not very heavy.

@Garyde what tyres are you running ?

255/35 tyres all round on 10.5" rears and 9" fronts.

Wheels will be coming off soon for winter and I plan to change the front tyres as i've lowered the front a bit more and now getting some rubbing on the arch liner
