Power steering fluid low after bigger wheels and lowering springs fitted

Hi everyone

Second post on the forum.

So.... Had my 2019 startline Lowered on sportline springs at the main stealer costing £445. I did this to maintain the warranty. The van then developed a rotational metallic rubbing sound intermittently. Not the 20" wheels rubbing on full lock, this happens in a straight line and on shallow bends then disappears again. The dealer took it back in and couldn't find anything wrong, took the van back and it still made the noise.

Now a week later the power steering made a whining noise and after checking, found the fluid res to be almost empty.

Any thoughts? Van done 4000 miles .. Could the 20"wheels caused the power steering pump to fail and leak.

Many thanks

No, the wheel size couldn’t influence a fluid leak to materialise. Don’t run the engine with a seriously low fluid level as this will damage the PS pump.
