Power sliding door only closes on dash button.

Hi guys I'm after some advise.

I have a 2017 t6 and the NS electric sliding door has a problem.

It will open off the remote key, handle inside and out and the button on the dash.

But won't close, the only way it will close is to hold down the button on the dash.
No lights are flashing and if you pull the handle in or outside you can hear a relay click in the handle but nothing happens?

I've read thro other posts but to no avail. Any help would be great.

Rob.

Hi Rob,

Did you manage to resolve the issue with your electric sliding door?

Just asking if you found a solution, as I have the same problem..

I add myself to this list! Door opens using remote, inside or outside handle but will only close automatically holding the button on the dash. I have searched through reddit and forums and found the issue multiple times, but nobody ever posted after finding the solution.

I assume its the actuator or motor inside the van... behind the C pillar?! I read somewhere a possible water ingress may cause this?

Anyone ever found a fix for it on here?

Hi Plastefuchs, Mine had the same symptoms but it was the door anti trap seal that had failed. You can test if it is the door seal by connecting a resistor of the correct value across the connector which the door seal plugs into. Unfortunately I'm away at the moment so I don't have access to what value resistor I used. If you can't find this info online I will be back home next Tuesday.

Seem to remember someone cured this problem by gently massaging the door seal leading edge where the wires run.
