Power-Latching sliding-door problems

Is there an up to date price for the Rear tailgate power latch kit?, and what the lead time is.

Thanks

I’m trying to work out what actually triggers and/or controls the latching mechanism on the side door of a 2014 factory Kombi?

Symptoms/problem: opening and closing the door is fine, however, if I drive over a bump or a rough surface road, I hear the latching mechanism momentarily activate. Sometimes I see the door has been pushed out a bit, sometimes the interior lights even come on.

I’m suspecting a loose connection somewhere but don’t know where to start looking.

Not sure if this is related or coincidence but the folding mirrors have a similar issue, albeit less often.

Any pointers as to where to start my search for the cause would be most appreciated.

TIA.

Thank you.

The doors are not electric, it’s just the latching that is powered.

Sorry, not sure if it’s the powered latching or full electric door that makes them ‘soft close’.

Hi guys and other readers,
Having read all these messages since the topic owner started this.
But I am not sure if my problem fits in this topic.
To start: I have a 2016 T6 LWB with 2 sliding doors. Bought it 2 year ago.
Its a LHD with factory fitted softclose.
In all these posting I never read anything about fuse C44.
I have noticed a problem with the central locking: not working. (I found out that I used the left sliding door a while ago).
Also the lock/unlock buttons in the drivers door didnt work.
Found C44 blown.
replaced it, and the central locking is all fine.
checked the left sliding door: no sound on opening, but fuse C44 blown again.
left the door open, replaced C44, closing the sliding door: no soft close, no sound of the electric closing ssystem., but fuse C44 stayed ok when closing the door fully (manually).
Work around: put some ducttape over the 3 contacts of the front side of the door. No more blown fuses. when opening or closing the sliding door. But yes, I have the Door-Open signal in the display, but I can get rid of it by pressing the OK button on my smart steering wheel.
But when I use the central locking to lock the vehicle, all doors do lock, but not the left sliding door. and also no signal-indicators flashing.
At this moment I am on Holiday, but when I get home, I will replace C44 with a thermal fuse and like to find out why C44 keeps blowing when opening the sliding door. And remove the ducttape from the contacts.
Also I converted the van into a camper, I really don't like removing all the installed camper-equipment to access the electronics at the wheel-arc.
thanks for all the support from u all sofar.
greetings,
Jan, from the Netherlands
