I remember seeing these the last time I was there. "Sverd I fjell" or swords in rock. I spent many months in Stavanger over the last couple of decades. Its definitely one of my favourite places and quite unlike the rest of Norway

Apparently it's the place where three viking kings made a peace treaty. I've not seen much more of Norway but I intend to!

Took this during lockdown. Nice watching all the birds in the garden. Starlings fighting over the fat balls......

I’ve been a [not too serious] birder for around 50 years and watched them all over the world but good old starlings are still my favourite bird. Their plumage is wonderful and a mumuration is a thing of total beauty. Proof that nature is wonderful.
